Central Texas Pastel Society

While Gordon has been painting in oils lately, he plans to demonstrate his watercolor underpainting technique which he layers with pastel for a vibrant and exciting final painting.

He is an avid plein air painter, visiting any location he wants to paint to make plein air sketches and take color notes. He then brings them into the studio, to use in completing larger studio pieces.

Gordon's work has long been respected for his impressionist landscapes of Texas and Mexico. He's been a painter for over three decades. The Wally Workman Gallery on West Sixth Street in Austin represents his work and has mounted multiple solo shows for him.
